Data loss happens. And often. Seagate’s latest drive, the GoFlex Turbo aims to make the process of losing data slightly less awful by adding an extra layer of security. With the drive comes bundled two years of SafteyNet’s Data Recovery, a service that Seagate says can sometimes cost thousands of dollars. With the service, users will get one free recovery attempt in the event that their drives go caput while on warranty. That may not sound like the greatest deal, but when your data is at stake, its often worth it.
Outside of that, the GoFlex Turbo comes compatible with USB 3.0 and can run on both both OS X and Windows without the need for a reformat. The drive comes in two varieties: of $119.99 for 500GBs and $139.99 for 750GBs.
